Our story of ratatouille designs goes far beyond charming and authentic vintage linens hand selected from the markets of Provence — ratatouille designs is labelled proudly in Canada and hand sewn in North Vancouver, British Columbia. With ratatouille designs’ evolving catalogue, Susan hopes to stir your imagination with the markets of France, giving you pleasure and tradition in your home.
Susan’s process begins as she hand selects antique and vintage linen from France. After importing and repurposing the linen and hemp fabrics, she turns them into charming aprons, hand towels, table runners, and so much more.
“It all stemmed from my love of travel, food, textiles & design. I found beauty in upcycling these vintage linens to create one-of-a-kind pieces that are both elegant and eco-friendly. I hand sew vintage embellishments, handstitching to buttons – whichever inspires me at the time.”
Susan continues to be driven by her passion to produce one-of-a-kind, repurposed vintage French, and new European linen items for you and your home. Our catalogue is constantly being updated with new items that Susan has selected from her annual trip to Provence, or with help from good friend and “ Sunday-brocante-market” buyer, Lana.
