This one-of-a-kind jacket is based on the traditional French worker's jacket known as "bleu de travail". The light weight fabric is repurposed from a vintage or antique French linen bed sheet purchased in the markets of Provence.
The bottom front pockets feature beautifully worn hand embroidery from what was originally kitchen mantel, window, or shelf trim. Mrs. Rabbit is prepping the carrots and Mr. Rabbit is uncorking the wine.
This jacket is a ratatouille designs size large. It typically would fit someone who is a size large to extra large. Please review the measurements provided (see last two photos for this jacket) to ensure that this would be the right size for you.
Fabrics that are not new linen are listed as vintage or antique as it is difficult to date fabrics and, when sourcing fabric, my focus is on its tactile nature and its reflection of a history of use and/or workmanship.
